Diesel Bug

Diesel bug microbes take advantage of just about every food source on the planet, including diesel fuel. Microbes only need water and food to proliferate. Diesel bug microbes include bacteria, yeasts and moulds.

Diesel bug microbes tend to prefer to live at the fuel/water interface, living in the water and feeding on diesel fuel. They also have a tendency to ‘hide’ in the lower flow areas of a diesel fuel system where the lack of turbulence allows them to thrive in relative safety.
