We are proud to announce that our new aviation kit, called Fuelstat® resinae PLUS with the part number FHR8-2, has gained IATA recommendation following a thorough appraisal and trials by member airlines.
Mr Michel Baljet, Assistant Director Operations Technical Fuel Services, stated that the "new Conidia test kit, Fuelstat® resinae PLUS, is considered as an IATA recommended test kit and will be incorporated this year in the 4th edition of the IATA Guidance Material on Microbiological Contamination in Aircraft Fuel Tanks. We also agreed that the 4th edition will no longer list the original Fuelstat resinae test kit as from 1st January 2013."
The two major airframe manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing have agreed to include the new kit in their maintenance manuals as soon as possible.
Airbus have stated that "their documentation is currently being updated to include the kit at the next revisions. In the meantime however, if any Airlines have questions or concerns about the new kit and the Airbus position, we would be happy for you to refer them to us."
Boeing also confirmed that the new test is being included in the next update of their airplane manuals. In the meantime, any interested airlines can contact their Boeing Field Representatives or Boeing Service Engineering for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: Both Boeing and Airbus will continue to list the original Fuelstat resinae test kit in their manuals, even though IATA will mention only the new Fuelstat resinae PLUS test. Conidia Bioscience Ltd will continue to produce the original Fuelstat resinae kit beyond 1st January 2013 in order to satisfy customer needs.
